- adores rain and moss. - boundary is a rather large lot with heavily overgrown gardens that has a bit of a reputation for being haunted. - entirely benevolent and greatly enjoys when someone wanders in, sprouting mushrooms and arranging things in strange places for visitors to admire. - likes to explore and enjoys dropping in to interact with other esk and leave gifts. - visits the Conservatory frequently to spend time with the esk there. Especially enjoys the company of 000. - does not identify as any particular gender - any pronoun fits. - does not talk a lot, but will chime in when they feel they have something worth contributing. - often talks in third person.

Ren has no concept of fear - they have wholly accepted their new life as a nature spirit and do their best to make the most of the freedom that has come with it. They are constantly in a bubble of positive emotions and believe that deep down, everything is inherently good. Everything happens for a reason, and even "bad" events will eventually lead to the right path. They are very contemplative, and while it is very rare to see Ren "sad", you may often see them simply sitting quietly and pondering the world around them. They accept everything as it comes and will generally not stand in the way of change, which can sometimes make them come across as a pushover, but really they are just happy and accepting of whatever happens. Ren will attempt to befriend everyone, even those who do not necessarily want a friendship, they are very persistant as they believe everyone's soul benefits from having someone close. Ren is non-intrusive and many find it easier to just tolerate the little esk's presence rather than resist the companionship.

Ren always seems to know the right thing to say or do. They truly are thoughtful and consider their actions carefully before proceeding.

Ren's strength is in 1 on 1 conversation/interactions. While they are quite happy spending time with other esk in a group, they much prefer to focus their attention on a singular esk at a time. Ren relishes the quiet moments shared between two friends, and believes these to be the best things for a mending soul.

Ren has no memory of their previous life, although they are deeply drawn to injured animals or those that have become lost within Ren's boundary. Ren will always do their best to help them, either caring for them while they heal or trying to lead them back home. If all else fails Ren will transform them as a last resort.

Ren does not fully understand humans however. Although the little esk greatly enjoys when one stumbles into their boundary and will still do their best to help if the situation allows for it, the uncertainty about them lingers and prevents Ren from being able to fully connect with them. As a result Ren does not reveal themselves to humans ever (even children), and will not perform trasformations on them.

. d e s i g n n o t e s . - roughly the size of a matchbox. - being a fungi morph, feet and tail are nubs (no toes), fur is short and velvety. - fur around neck and tail is thicker than the rest of the body with a soft and spongy texture. - mask, tail, spots, socks, and false ears are the same colour. - small whiskers above eyes and on cheeks - can be drawn black or white. - legs are a darker green that gradients into the rest of the body. - fur on neck is a brighter green than the body. -large, stormblue eyes with small orange eyespots. . r e w a r d s .
